I would like to express, on behalf of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption of the Republic of Macedonia and also my personal pleasure for the excellent organization of the International Conference on Fighting Corruption and Promoting Good Governance. All participants to the Conference were honored of the presence and welcoming remarks of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev. Also, I express my gratitude to the organizers, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Fighting Economic and Corruption Crime (Financial Police) and the Chairman, Mr. Kairat Kozhamzharov, as well as Ms. Olga Savran and Ms. Inese Gaika from OECD. Last but not least, special gratitude to our cordial hosts and people who were directly involved on taking care of Macedonian delegation and some other delegations, the chief of the Financial department of the Pavlodar Region, Mr. Tastanov Daniar, than Mr. Makhmedov Zhenis, and theirs colleagues, Sagindikov Berik, Abiev Kairat, Musinov Askani, Jumabekov Sanat and others. The Astana Conference brought together the representatives from institutions and experts from many countries dedicated to fight the common evil corruption. The Astana Statement will contribute to further strengthening the fight against corruption and promotion of the good governance.
